He Knows Them That Trust Him – Nah 1
A few years ago, I went to a display about Ashurbanipal, a powerful Assyrian king in the 9th century BC who called himself the “king of the world.” All through the British Museum, you will see evidence of the power and cruelty of the Assyrians and the city of Nineveh.
Nahum is God’s answer to their power and cruelty, and history proved that God was right and more powerful than even the so called “king of the world.”
God jealously defended His people and dealt with their enemies. He was and still is “good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” (Nah 1:7).
No matter how fierce the enemy may be, we can look to God for help, hope, and strength. He can defend the mightiest foes and overcome the greatest odds. He is looking for those who will trust in Him. I am one of those who trust in Him and I want to keep trusting Him.
