No Man Forbidding Him – Acts 28
“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.” — Acts 28:30–31
Paul’s usual method of evangelising new areas was hindered after he was incarcerated. Yet, God continued to use him to spread the gospel despite his physical limitations. He was able to witness to his guards, other fellow-prisoners, important people who heard his case and even permitted to have many visitors to the house where he was kept.
What looked like a hindrance was actually an opportunity. God was working in and through Paul’s life despite his unusual circumstances and challenging situation. And God can do the same for us.
We need to realise that the Lord wants the gospel spread. He wants people to hear about Him. Even when we feel like we are limited or there are too many challenges, we should look for where God is opening doors for His message. If we look, we will see opportunities all around us.
