The Curse of Cursing God and His People – Eze 25
When Judah fell, all of her enemies (Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Philistia) began to rejoice. As perverse as it is to take pleasure in our enemies’ failures, we sometimes do.
What made this so much worse was that by rejoicing in Judah’s fall, these nations were also mocking Judah’s God. God had told Abraham years before that He would bless those that blessed him and curse those that cursed him (Gen 12:1-3).
Ezekiel 25 is God’s curse on these nations who cursed Judah and mocked God. They laughed at God, but God would laugh at them. He would bring destruction on them and they would know that He is the LORD (v.5,7,11,17).
Once again, we read that God wants all people everywhere to acknowledge Him as the true and living LORD. And that is what God wants from our lives today. He wants us to realize that He is the true God. He wants us to fear Him and live for HIm. He wants us to give Him the glory that He deserves.
