Tired of God? – Micah 6
God’s heart was broken by His people. He had loved them, delivered them, redeemed them, and guided them. He had blessed them and protected them. He had done so much for them, yet they turned away from Him.
In Micah 6, He has a contention or a legal dispute with them. He wanted everyone to see the evidence and realise that the fault is not with Him but them. He asked them with sadness and frustration in His voice, “O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.”
How said that it seems they had grown tired of God. They no longer loved Him or wanted to serve Him. They had sought other gods even though the true God had been so good to them.
The same might be said of us. We grow weary of God when we should be continually amazed by Him and fascinated with Him. His mercies are new every morning and may we never lose the wonder of all His love and goodness to us!
