Happy Birthday, Dad!
Yesterday was my dad’s birthday, and I just wanted to wish him a very happy birthday. My dad is one of the biggest blessing that God ever gave me. Dad, I am so thankful for you and how you invested so much into me. Thank you for loving me enough to spend time with me, teach me, pray for me, take me to church, rebuke me, chasten me, and encourage me to obey God. I miss you and mom tons, but I am so grateful for your continual support of God’s call on my life. I hope that I can pass on the things you have taught me to my children and to others that God allows me to influence.
Below are some pictures of my dad and I that I enjoyed looking back at.
Here we are right before Dad & Mom left to fly back to Ohio after visiting with us for a month last year.
This was taken in June 2004 before we left to come to Northern Ireland for the first time.
A very typical thing for Dad and I to do – look at a building project that he is working on. My dad is a carpenter and can build just about anything. I really enjoyed all our time together growing up working on things. It was a great opportunity for me to learn and presented many opportunities to talk.
Here we are at the Giant’s Causeway in December 2007 when Dad and Mom came to visit us.
Dad and Mom with Grant and Darci in January 2008 here in Northern Ireland.
Dad and I working on building Grant’s table. Dad was a huge blessing and helped us with alot of project at our house when he came over. If you are from Eastern Ohio and need some work done, let my dad know. He will do a great job. I can give you his number. 🙂
I don’t know if you dad reads these comments but you can tell him for me that I think that he is and has been an ideal dad. I appreciate the way he raised such godly sons. I appreciate the way he was used of God to instill such godly character in you and your brothers.
Happy Birthday to your dad and God bless you both!
Thank you so much for the nice comment. I will let him know.
