Harvest Service
We had a really great day today at Northwest Baptist Church. We started the day by beginning our 1 Samuel series with a message entitled “A Mother’s Desperate Prayer” from 1 Samuel 1. We saw Hannah’s Problem, Hannah’s Prayer, God’s Power, and Hannah’s Promise. We talking about pouring our heart out to God when we are desparate.
This evening, it was such a blessing to have Bro. Les Hill, pastor of Gospel Baptist Church in Lucan, Ireland with us to preach and teach. His wife Jenny gave her testimony in the Bible class hour, and then he taught a great lesson on “How to Stay Positive and Joyful in a Negative World.”
In the service at 6.30 PM, Bro. Hill gave his salvation testimony and then preached a powerful message on “Thankfulness”. It was a great reminder to thank God for His blessings and appreciate all that He has done.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship after the service. I want to thank the Hills for travelling up this way to be a blessing to us and all those who worked hard to make today possible. What a blessing it was!
I am excited about this week of ministry. I am glad that the ministry of our church does not just happen on Sunday but takes place all through the week in schools, workplaces, and communities wherever we go.
Please be in prayer for the Bible Study in Nelson Drive on Wednesday at 6.30 PM. If you are free, please join us and invite others to come out to learn from God’s Word.
