June 2012 Prayer Letter
Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,
At the end of April, we were blessed to have Evangelist Chris Stansell and a man from his home church, Wayne Breeden, visiting with us. Bro. Stansell preached for us and taught on music and song-leading, and Bro. Breeden did a bunch of painting and work around our church. They were a huge blessing and encouragement.
At the beginning of May, we had a special meeting with Layton Kelly, who runs an addictions recovery ministry in Dublin. He taught on “Breaking the Chains of Addiction,” and it was a good outreach opportunity for us.
In the middle of May, Teri and I were able to go away for a few days to celebrate our ten year anniversary which is coming up in July. We are so thankful for how good God has been to us and for all that He has allowed us to experience.
On Sunday, May 20, we celebrated the church’s four year anniversary with a guest preacher and a BBQ fellowship. Please continue to pray for Northwest Baptist Church to grow and become indigenous. The area in which the church is located is very challenging, but we are seeing God soften and open hearts.
At the end of May, we had two more visitors come. Doug Dillard came from Ohio for a ten-day trip, and Tiffany Kahler came to stay for ten weeks as an intern.
God is continuing to bless with visitors coming to the services, opportunities to share the gospel, and leaders growing. Please continue to pray for the leaders that God is raising up in our church.
Thank you for praying for the special financial projects that I mentioned. The Lord has provided for about $4400 worth of expenses, but we still need $1500 for July youth camp and $1000 for our July evangelistic Meeting.
Thank you so much for all of your faithful prayers and support. We appreciate each one of you so much.
