Lessons from Teen Camp

One of the young people from our church who was at the Teen Camp, put the following lessons on his facebook page.  I thought it was a great testimony of how God worked:

Had an amazing week at youth camp with great people and life changing teaching from 2 Timothy, just wanted to share a few things that I learnt:

1) Remember people daily in your prayers (1:3-4)

2) Stir up the gift of God (1:6)

3) We are not given the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (1:7)

4) Be a partaker of the afflictions of the gospel (1:8)

5) Be a good soldier of Jesus Christ and endure hardness (2:3)

6) Don’t get entangled in the affairs of this life, keep the focus on Jesus (2:4)

7) If we are dead with Christ we are also alive with Him (2:11)

8) Don’t listen to vain and profane things (2:16)

9) Purge ourselves from sin (2:21)

10) Be sanctified (2:21)

11) Be prepared unto every good work (2:21)

12) Flee youthful lusts (2:22)

13) Follow righteousness, faith, charity and peace (2:22)

14) Do not strive, but be gentle to everyone (2:24)

15) Know that perilous times are coming (3:1)

16) Know that man is incredibly sinful (3:2-4)

17) All that live godly will suffer (3:12)

18) Scripture is from God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and

instruction in righteousness (3:16)

19) Preach the word! (4:2)

20) Know that people will stop listening to sound doctrine (4:3)

21) Endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist and make full proof of thy ministry

(4:5)

22) Fight the good fight (4:7)

23) Know our reward (4:8)

24) Know that God is with us and strengthens us (4:17)

25) Know that the Lord will deliver us from every evil work (4:18)
