Ministry Update – Ireland, Christmas, New Members, Building Update, Boston Summit Trip
At the start of December, Teri and I visited with Josh and Annie Moore, friends of our who are church-planters in the town of Carrick-on-Shannon, Republic of Ireland. We met them several years ago in Northern Ireland while they were students in Bible college on a trip to visit and help several churches across the island of Ireland. It was very encouraging to see how the Lord is using them. Please pray for them and for the country of Ireland. It seems there is a greater openness and thirst for the truth than there has been in the past, but there are certainly many adversaries that would want to stop the spread of the gospel.
We are grateful for several new couples and young men who have started attending the church regularly, getting involved in discipleship and going out to do outreach. It is exciting to have the opportunity to disciple more people and to see them disciple others.
We had a very blessed Christmas season with a number of opportunities to share the gospel in the community and through our special services. At our church’s Christmas Bring and Share, we had over 60 people coming out for the service before the meal.
This past Sunday, we were blessed to have two more ladies join the church – Mayowa (2nd from Left) and Ann-Marie (3rd from Left). Both have been coming to the church for the last 6-9 months, and we are so excited they have come into membership.
Please continue praying for the building purchase for Northwest. James meets with the bank about a mortgage this week, and we are working to get a survey done soon before we place our formal offer hopefully next week.
Also, I’d appreciate prayers for a trip that Darci, myself, and Pastor Alan Campbell from Sunderland will be taking to America on Wednesday. We will be there for about 10 days, speaking at the Our Generation Summit Northeast and then visiting with my family in Ohio.
