Ministry Update – Training Deacons, Ireland Trip, Building Fund, Renovation Update
Deacons in Training: On 7th February, we had our first Deacons in Training meeting. It is exciting to start working with some of the men in our church, training them to serve as deacons in the church. We hope to continue this training on a monthly basis.
Trip to Ireland: Last week, we took a trip to Ireland to visit with some friends and churches there. We really enjoyed meeting with many friends including several pastor friends.
- On Tuesday night and Sunday morning, we really enjoyed being back at Northwest Baptist Church and meeting with the people there. Please continue to pray for Pastor James Wilson and the folks there as they seek to be a lighthouse for the gospel.
- Sunday night, we were at Poyntzpass Baptist Church. It was wonderful to meet up with our friends Wesley and Helen Crawford again, and to see how God is blessing the church there.
-
We also, were able to see some church-planter friends, Josh and Annie Moore, who arrived in Ireland a few months ago. Please pray for them as they work in a church in Carrick-on-Shannon with the view to church-planting in the west part of Ireland.
Building Fund: The deadline for the building fund for Northwest Baptist Church is just over 5 weeks away – 31 March 2016. I would like to ask you to make this a special matter of prayer. We still are asking God to help us raise another $61,691. $13,309 has already been given. It seems like a huge mountain still remains, but we know that God can do what for us seems impossible.
Renovation Progress: All the painting on the main hall has been done, thanks to many volunteers, especially Mike from Hayes Lane Baptist Church. Tomorrow, the flooring company comes in to begin sanding and refinishing the old parquet floor.
