October 2015 Prayer Letter

Updates

Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,

In September, we had 13 first-time visitors and averaged 36 regular attenders. We are very thankful for how God is blessing the various outreach methods we have utilized recently.

At the beginning of the month, we had another community BBQ in which we met more people from the community. We also started doing door-to-door surveys in the immediate area around the church to meet people and share the gospel with them. We have had some visitors to the church from this outreach. It has been a good opportunity for the people in our church to be a bolder witness.

Last week, we started Free English classes at the church as an outreach to people who move here from other countries. Hannah Neilly, a friend of ours from Northern Ireland, just moved here to intern with us and to help us with this outreach. So far, we have had people from  Afghanistan, Italy, France, Lebanon, Lithuania, Poland, and Sri Lanka attend. We have already had the opportunity to share gospel with one person through the classes.

We are continuing to seek to ground people in their faith through the teaching of the Word and personal discipleship. There are many open doors for us here, and we praise God for how He is blessing.

• Northwest Baptist Church is the first church that we started in Derry, Northern Ireland in 2007.
• The church is blessed with a growing congregation, a local pastor, and a great opportunity.
