Romania Trip | Job Series | Gibbons Visiting
Last week, a team of eight people from our church went on a missions trip to Romania. We had a great time visiting with Missionary Johnny McGeorge-Oanta, Pastor Remus Oanta, the team of Christian workers, and the various local churches. Johnny visited our church recently and shared about the work there. It was great to see what God is doing and to have a small part in the ministry there. It was a stretching and growing time for all of us who went on the trip. We are excited about what we learned and pray that God will continue to give us a burden for the nations. The field truly are white unto harvest. Pray for labourers.
This past Sunday, we finished our series through the book of Job. It was a challenging book, but one that I think really helped us all to get a better perspective of who God is, who we are, and how we should trust Him even in the most difficult of trials. We also had Trevor Stewart-Sweet from Friends of Israel with us, speaking about Jewish culture and God’s plan for Israel from the Bible.
This weekend, we have a Clay and Danielle Gibbons with us from America. They are new Christian workers planning to come to the UK. Please pray for God to guide and direct them to where He would have them ministry.
Finally, continue to pray for Pastor James and Northwest Baptist Church. There have been a number of different spiritual attacks on the members of the church, and they really need your prayers. Also, pray for God to open a door regarding the building there and to provide for the building fund. We continue to remain active inquiring about potential buildings. Pray for wisdom in this search.
