Snode Ministry Update
It is so exciting to watch God build and grow His church. I really enjoy helping people discover and use their spiritual gifts, and then watch as God uses them in the ministry. Since the constitution of the church last month, we have continued to see good progress with people inviting their friends to church, with various individuals taking on more ministry responsibility, and with people growing in their personal discipleship.
Two weeks ago, we recognised a number of people who completed a level of discipleship. You can see their photo above. We have others who are working through the discipleship courses as well. We are grateful for the Foundations discipleship course from Vision Baptist Church, and how it is helping people get grounded in their faith and gives them a tool to teach God’s Word to others.
We had our first church business meeting this past Sunday to appoint two men to serve as church secretary and treasurer and act as trustees of the church. Our governing documents are currently being reviewed by some lawyers, and we hope to send those off to the charity commission soon.
Last Saturday, Chris and Sherry Waye hosted a Young People’s Life Skills event that a couple in our church, Jeff and Heather Bryan have organised. The idea is not only to train up the young people in the Word but also in practical life skills.
This week is half-term break, so all the young people are off school. Teri is away for a few days with some of the ladies on a retreat, so the kids are looking after me (I mean, I’m looking after them!).
Please be in prayer as a team from our church is leaving for Romania this coming Sunday after the services. Eight of us will be going to help Missionary Johnney McGeorge-Oanta and the other pastors there in Satu Mare.
