Snode Ministry Update – April 21, 2014
Chris and I put in a full week working on advertising, inviting, and promoting Bible studies in Eltham. We have arranged to have Bible studies in a local community centre on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings. We also are holding another Bible study on Sunday afternoons in a local cafe.
We talked to quite a few people this week. The Lord gave us two visitors to the morning Bible study, but no one showed up for the Sunday afternoon study. It was the Easter weekend and the weather was quite bad, so that might have discouraged folks from coming out.
We are thankful for the opportunities God gave us to get the word out this week. Please be in prayer for the following things:
- Opportunities to meet people and to share the gospel with them
- Visitors to come out to our Tuesday and Sunday Bible studies
- Another opportunity to meet the young people who came last Sunday and to share more truth with them
- Wisdom as we think of creative ways to reach out to those around us
- God’s blessings on the various methods of outreach we are using: leafleting doors, street outreach, online meetup groups, Facebook advertising, mailouts.
It is such a blessing to have Chris and Sherry Waye helping us. They are an amazing couple and have some great kids. Pray for Chris as he teaches the Bible study this Tuesday and next Sunday morning.
