Snode Prayer Letter – December 1, 2014
Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,
We are now about three months into the church plant in Downham. In the month of November, we had another nine first-time visitors. Several of those who visited were the friends and family of those who already attend the church. It is great when people are so excited about what God is doing and what they are learning that they invite their friends!
Things are progressing well with the building for the church. We hope to be in the building by January. It appears that we are going to be able to get the building for a very affordable monthly price. The 1800 square foot building is ideal for a small church. It has a meeting room that will hold about 80 people, a nice kitchen, a Sunday school room, and an office.
We started playing football (soccer) in the community on Saturday afternoons as a way to reach out to young men in the community. Please pray for several young men who have started coming for the football and for others who come to our Saturday night youth meeting.
We are very thankful for several generous offerings that have been given to help with the expenses of the church plant. If you would like to find out how you can give toward the work here, go here.
Please be in prayer for several special Christmas events we will be having this month. We are hoping to pass out 5,000 invites to our Christmas Carol and Christmas Day services.
Merry Christmas to all of you! Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support. It is truly an honour to serve the Lord and to partner together with you in His work.
