Snode Prayer Letter – January 1, 2015
Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,
The month of December began with our church hosting a stall at a festival run by the local library. We gave out 150 bags with candy and literature from the church. We had 74 families sign up for a free Christmas basket filled with snacks/food. All of them gave us permission to contact them about future events for the church. It was a great day meeting people in the community, inviting them to our church, and involving our entire church.
The Sunday before Christmas we had a special carol service. We gave out 5000 invitations to the service. The Lord blessed with 14 first-time visitors attending the service! Eleven of those came from receiving an invitation at the winter festival mentioned above. Three of them were unsaved family members of those who already attend our church. Please pray for the gospel seeds that were sown to bring forth fruit in the days ahead.
Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to move into our new building. We should be able do so at the beginning of February.
Many of you have followed the progress of Northwest Baptist Church, the church we planted in Derry, Northern Ireland. The church is continuing on faithfully for the Lord under the leadership of Pastor James Wilson. The church is still not large enough to fully support him. We are wanting to raise some temporary support so that he can go full-time.
We need $800/£500 per month for the next 36 months. This would allow him to quit his part-time job and focus full-time on building the church up where it can be fully indigenous. If you would like to help with this special project, you can send your support to the address below and mark it: “Church Planting.” More info at intoalltheworld.net/donate.
Thank you so much,
– Travis & Teri Snode
