Special Financial Project – Church Planting Fund
Several years ago, we were allowed by God to start a new church in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Northwest Baptist Church has seen God do some great things in a very needy yet challenging part of the world. The church is now meeting in the heart of this city that was once the centre of the modern-day “Troubles” in Northern Ireland.
James Wilson, a local man, has been pastoring the church for over a year now, whilst working a part-time job. In order for the church to really prosper and grow, it needs a full-time pastor who can dedicate himself completely to the building up of the church.
Because the church is not large enough to pay a full-time pastor, we are trying to raise some temporary funds to allow James to go full-time for the next three years. During that time, he will be working very hard to reach new people and see the church grow. Hopefully at the end of the three years, the church will be large enough to pay him a full salary.
We are hoping to raise £500/$800 per month for the next 36 months. This support is not meant to be a permanent solution, but a part of the temporary scaffolding to help the church become fully indigenous and self-supporting. Thank you for considering having a part in this fund.
