Thankful for a New Pulpit

A pastor friend here in Northern Ireland, Kenny Wilson, once told me, “You can tell a great deal about how important the preaching of the Word of God is to a church by the pulpit of that church.”

We do put a big emphasis on preaching at our church, but our pulpit has been quite small for some time.  It actually is one that I bought in America and brought over in my suitcase because I got a good deal on it about 8 years ago.

Just recently, a church donated some extra money to help with the improvements to our church building, and we were able to buy a great new pulpit for the church.  Below is a photo that shows the different between old, smaller pulpit and the new, larger one.  I just wanted to say a work of Thanks.
