Travis Snode Prayer Letter – April 1, 2014
Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,
After eighteen months of transition (from Northern Ireland to the USA, back to Northern Ireland, and then on to London), we feel like we can now finally settle down. Just two weeks ago, we moved into another home in southeast London. Our new address is 47 Felhampton Road, London, SE9 3NT, United Kingdom, and, God willing, we look forward to ministering in this part of London for many years.
Recently, several churches in southeast England have given us the opportunity to preach or teach God’s Word, which has been a real blessing. It is a joy to make new friends here, to see what God is doing, and to partner with those who are already working to get the gospel out in this area of the world.
There is still much work to be done, and we are asking God for open doors here for church planting and church revitalization. We have found that there are some churches in England without pastors which could use help. It may be that God will open a door for us to help rebuild these churches which may be struggling, may have no pastor, or may have an aging congregation with very few young people.
It has been a real blessing to have Chris and Sherry Waye and their family here with us for the past seven weeks. They have already been a real blessing to us personally and are being used in the ministry. Along with them, we are working hard to get the gospel out, to make disciples, and to look for open doors for church planting.
Please continue to pray for the work at Northwest Baptist in Northern Ireland. The church that God used us to plant there is still going strong under the leadership of Pastor James Wilson. I enjoyed visiting and preaching there back in February. Please pray for the church to grow, for souls to be saved, for men that James can disciple and train, and for some special projects which you can found out about here.
Everywhere we go, we meet people who need Jesus. What a joy to be able to tell them the good news of the gospel! Pray for fruit from our witness and men that we can train for ministry. The greatest need around the world is laborers. It is our job to pray for them and to train them.
