Snode Prayer Letter – September 3, 2015
Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,
The summer holidays in the UK are quite short with school letting out on July 22nd and starting back on September 3rd. We began the summer break with our Holiday Bible Club (VBS). The Lord blessed with several new children visiting the church and contact being made with some new families. Please pray for fruit that remains from these evangelistic efforts.
The month of August was very busy with a week of youth camp, a week of family holiday, and a week of outreach for the young people up in the North of England.
We took five young men to a camp in Wales hosted by a church in Aberdare. It was a great time of fun and learning with the theme of the camp being “Not About Me.”
The third week in August, we took some more young men to a week of outreach hosted by a church in the North of England. It was encouraging to see young people from across the UK coming together for a very intense time of training in evangelism, discipleship, and missions.
We finished out the month with a two night men’s camping trip to the Brecon Becons. Again, we had a great time together climbing a mountain, going for a hike, and gathering together around God’s Word.
As we enter September, lots of things start up again. Please pray for the youth club, the young men’s Bible study, discipleship meetings, and evangelistic outreach.
Please keep the church in Northern Ireland in prayer. God continues to bless the work there. We are currently trying to raise part of the money to buy the church their own building. Our goal is to raise $75,000 which we hope would be 50% of what they need. Would you please pray about giving a special offering for this important project?
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support. We are very thankful for God’s blessings and for how He continues to provide through you.
