Trip to America

Kyle Cooley and I are in America right now reporting in to a few churches and trying to raise some new support. We arrived in America on Friday night. Mark Coffey and Pastor Austin Gardner picked us up from the airport. We are grateful for the Gardners letting us stay with them while we are here. They have been very hospitable. Mrs. Betty is a wonderful hostess. She had treated us like royalty and taken great care of us.

On Sunday morning, we dropped into an independent Baptist church, Grace Bible Family Fellowship, in Cumming, GA. It was great to meet the people and the pastor and to enjoy the fellowship and worship there.

Following the morning service, we drove about five hours to Guyton, GA, to Faith Baptist Church. Faith Baptist has been supporting us for the last seven years. It was great to be able to report in and to share with them what has been going on in the ministry. They were very kind to us, gave us a good love offering, and blessed us with a nice meal after the service. We drove home after the service and arrived home at 3.00 AM.

Monday morning, we did some paperwork and then headed to Vision Baptist Church for the Our Generation Student Leadership Camp. After some introductory preaching and teaching, we took the young people to a large Jewish synagogue to meet with a Rabbi who explained the Jewish faith to the young people and let them ask questions. The Rabbi was very nice and helpful, but how sad it was to see how they do not believe in Jesus Christ as the only way to Heaven.

God moved in the service last night through the preaching. This camp is a very unique opportunity for young people and missionaries/Christian workers to get together to learn and talk about what the Bible says about reaching the world with the gospel.

Please continue to pray for God to work. Today, we are going to learn about the Hare Krishas and to see the largest Hindu Temple in America. Our prayer is that God will use what the young people see and hear to cause them to give their lives to God for the cause of world evangelism.
